How to Recover Lost Data from iOS

iOS is the popular system used in iPhone, iPad, iPod and other iDevice. More and more people prefer to use them to enjoy digital life. But it brings more problems of losing important files. So when it occurs to you, what will you do? Don't just be upset, you can find some software to help you to recover them. And I strongly suggest you to use iOS Data Recovery.

There are three guides below. Choose the one fit you most.
Guide 1: Recover from iPhone 5/4S, New iPad, iTouch 5
Step 1. Connect your iDevice to the computer
After installing the program, connect your iOS device, then click "Star Scan" to begin.

Step 2. Scan your iOS device for lost data
Now, the program is scanning your device, it may take you a few minutes, please wait patiently.

Step 3. Preview and recover your data selectively
After scanning, you will be able to see all recovered data listed on the left side of the window. You can preview camera roll, contacts, messages, ect from the result, then choose them you want and click "Recover" to save to your computer.

Guide 2: Recover Data from iPhone 4, iPad 1, iTouch 4
Step 1. Connect your iPhone to the Computer
Download and install iOS Data Recovery on your computer. Run it and then connect your device to the computer.

Step 2. Download a plug-in for your device before scanning it
You'll get the interface below and choose "Recover from iOS Device". Before scanning, you need to download a plug-in via click "Download" button on the window.

Step 3. Enter the DFU Mode and Scan your iPhone
1) Hold your iPhone and click "Start".
2) Follow the second tip shown in the window. Hold "Power" and "Home" buttons at the same time for exact 10 seconds.
3) After 10 seconds, release the "Power" button, but keep holding the "Home" button for another 10 seconds. Release it when you're informed that you've successfully entered DFU mode.
Then iOS Data Recovery will scan your iPhone for deleted data files automatically.


Step 4. Check and Restore your Lost Data
When it finishes scanning, you can get scan results on the left displayed in a list. Unfold each file icon and preview them one by one. Find out and check the data you want back. Finally, click "Recover" button so you can restore all those lost data on your computer now.
Notes: The scanning results shown includes those both lost and exist on your device, to only display the deleted items, you can use the slide button at the bottom in the window.

Guide 3: Recover Previous Data from iTunes Backup
Step 1. Choose your Device and Select the Recovery Mode
Run the program on your computer and choose the type of your device. Then, select "Recover from iTunes Backup File".

Step 2. Scan the Backup File of your Device
If you have connected many iOS devices with your computer, it will display all of them in the window below. Choose the one you want to recover and select the latest backed up file. Then click "Start Scan" to find out all the lost data from iTunes backup file.
Step 3. Preview and Recover Lost Data
You'll get the scanning results on the left, displayed in categories. Expand each icon and preview those lost data. Check those you want back and click "Recover". Now you can get those lost data back successfully.

Note: If you are not using iPhone 4/3GS, iPad 1 and iPod touch 4, then recovery from iTunes backup file will be the only option for you to recover lost data.
